Joshua Deutschmann is a Postdoctoral Scholar and Lead Researcher at DIL. In this role he oversees a portfolio of research projects primarily focused in agriculture. His research spans topics in agriculture, sanitation, energy, and applied econometrics. He previously completed a PhD in Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to graduate school, he helped manage the Dakar Urban Sanitation Project with Innovations for Poverty Action (as profiled on Planet Money).
